Reiki Healing

Mikao Usui
Chujiro Hayashi
Hawayo Takata
These are pictures of the three Grand Masters of Reiki. The story of how Reiki came into being with Mikao Usui is an oral tradition that is part of Reiki I. Dr. Hayashi took over from Usui and ultimately chose to give his life for Reiki. Takata was beloved by all of us. Feisty but humble, she was a strict teacher and honored Reiki to the core of her being. She died before she could name an heir, though her granddaughter, Phyllis Furimoto, was intended to be the next Grand Master. Phyllis has also passed and has left a young man in charge. So technically, Takata was the final Grand Master whose job it was to ensure that Reiki didn’t get lost or changed in any way. It seemed that the day after she died, the egos came out of the woodwork and Reiki started being changed drastically. When you change a perfect system, it can only be diminished. I had a weekly clinic at that time and I was shocked to observe and listen to visiting practitioners that clearly had no idea what Reiki was. Or wasn’t. Many had not even heard of Usui, Hayashi or Takata. The diminishment of Reiki continues to this day. It was this realization that made me want to be a Reiki Master - so I could teach exactly what Takata taught, changing nothing. My students have terrific hands and many of my students who had already taken some version of Reiki all comment on the differences and what they didn’t learn before or the difference in their hands after initiation.

REIKI CLASSES - BY ARRANGEMENT
REIKI I - $150
This first level of Reiki requires three initiations spaced out over three days and a final "closing in." Each day consists of about two hours depending on the size of the class. The student learns the story of Reiki and how it came into being, as well as the proper hand placements including the exceptions to standard rules of approach. Practical application is part of the class and students will work on each other. No symbols are used in Reiki I. You can administer Reiki on literally anything you can touch.
REIKI II - $500
A deeper commitment, Reiki II includes the ability to call in a greater power, to work with the mental process including memory, creativity, addictions and more, as well as sending Reiki to a distance. Not everyone is eligible for Reiki II. This is at the discretion of the Master and requires at least three months of development using Reiki I. It consists of review and discussion of Reiki I, one initiation and learning the 3 symbols associated with Reiki II.
REIKI III (MASTER LEVEL) - $10,000
This is the deepest commitment and requires a minimum of three years working with Reiki. This is the most powerful level and includes the ability to teach and initiate others into Reiki energy. One initiation and one more symbol given.
There are only 3 degrees of Reiki. As a student of Hawayo Takata, I have never changed or added anything, teaching you what she taught me. Pure.
The Nyack Reiki Group. Terrific hands, every one. You can tell we had fun getting tuned up and learning hand placements and marvelling at HOT hands!
